WOOD PRESERVATION TREATMENT
The quality and durability of timber depend on the correct choice of wood preservatives. To increase the durability and enhance the various properties, Lotus Timber uses the best available scientific technology to treat timber. We offer treatment according to client requirements, based on the prevailing standard in different countries, such as CTP, TIM, EN, etc.
Lotus Timber uses industry-recognized products from Lonza Wood Protection (an international market leader in timber preservation). These products offer full protection for various species of wood against fungal decay and insects. As many of our treated products are taken back to nature, in the countryside, forest, and gardens, we use the environmentally friendly Tanalith E 3475 wood preservative, which is an efficient alternative to Creosote oils.
Lotus Timber is the sole representative of Lonza Wood Protection in Estonia.
We offer timber preservation and treatments using our four autoclaves, in accordance with NTR, EN, BS, CTB P+, and KOMO, along with other recognized Industry Standards.
The dimensions of each of our autoclaves are:
- 21 m (diameter 2.6 m)
- 16 m (diameter 2.0 m)
- 14 m (diameter 2.0 m)
- 14 m (diameter 2.0 m)
Treatment process:
We offer the following pressure treatments in our four autoclaves:
TANALITH pressure-treated timber has been high-pressure impregnated with the very latest Tanalith preservative, a waterborne product based on copper triazole technology. Tanalith pressure-treated timber is usually specified for both in and out of ground contact applications where there is a medium to high risk of decay or insect attack. Tanalith pressure-treated timber has an initial natural pale green coloration.

ENSELE TANALISED and ENSELE TANATONE are brush-on, water-based end-grain timber preservatives based on triazole technology. They are designed for the re-treatment of exposed cross-cut, notched, or drilled surfaces of Tanalith and Tanatone pressure-treated timbers. Ensele helps to maintain the integrity of the pressure-treated timber against fungal and insect attack.

VACSOL-treated timber has been low-pressure impregnated with Vacsol preservative, a waterborne product containing biodegradable fungicides. Vacsol-treated timber is usually specified for above dpc level interior construction timbers and externally coated joinery applications where there is a low to medium risk of decay or insect attack. The color of Vacsol treated timber is virtually unchanged, although a treatment color indicator can be added if required.

ANTIBLU-treated timber has been dip-treated with a proven waterborne stain management system based on biodegradable ingredients. Antiblu provides advanced and economical protection against sap stain and mold fungi. Protection is designed for freshly harvested or sawn timbers to last throughout the seasoning, storage, and transport of the timber and is therefore of short duration, typically three months.

DRICON fire retardant treated timber and sheet material has been high pressure impregnated with Dricon, an INT2 (humidity resistant) fire retardant formulation, and kiln dried to a specific moisture content. Dricon fire retardant-treated timber and sheet material is suitable for permanent interior situations. It is the only industrial fire retardant treatment for timber with BBA (British Board of Agrément) approval. The treatment does not significantly alter the appearance of the timber.
